Nonprofits already try this and some are reasonably effective, but this could be done faster and more efficiently in an Uber-type service, where drivers themselves are paid for how much food they can effectively donate. The profit they give restaurants are through tax-credits, and if the pay was better, food waste wouldn’t need to happen in urban areas.
